A request for traveler information including traffic, transit, toll, parking, road weather conditions, event, and passenger rail information. The request identifies the type of information, the area of interest, parameters that are used to prioritize or filter the returned information, and sorting preferences.

Solution Description
This solution is used within the U.S.. It combines standards associated with US: ATIS with those for I-M: Mobile Internet (US). The US: ATIS standards include upper-layer standards required to implement traveler information communications. The I-M: Mobile Internet (US) standards include lower-layer standards that support secure communications between two entities, either or both of which may be actively moving; based on X.509 or IEEE 1609.2 certificates. A non-mobile (if any) endpoint may connect to the wide-area-wireless service provider using any Intneret connection method.
