Traffic Management Center to Vehicle OBE: speed management information
Flow Description
Target speeds, speed advisories, and/or speed limit information provided to a vehicle. The information includes the current speed value(s), the route segment(s) and lane(s) where the speeds apply, and an indication of whether the speeds are suggested target speeds, posted advisory speeds, or enforceable speed limit values. This flow may also include information about the reason for reduced speeds and provide target lane information if lane changes are required.

This solution is used within the U.S.. It combines standards associated with TPEG2 with those for I-M: Mobile Internet (US). The TPEG2 standards include upper-layer standards required to support multi-modal information services.. The I-M: Mobile Internet (US) standards include lower-layer standards that support secure communications between two entities, either or both of which may be actively moving; based on X.509 or IEEE 1609.2 certificates. A non-mobile (if any) endpoint may connect to the wide-area-wireless service provider using any Intneret connection method.
